of extra sensory perception abilities used by

Grabovoi Grigori Petrovich for aircraft faults detecting

using the call signs of the aircraft in January 1992.

We, the undersigned, the executor of the work Grabovoi G.P.

and the representatives of the Customer - Saulkin V.M. the Chief of

Engineering Information Center of the Aircraft Maintenance Base, and

Nemtsov S.V. Chief engineer of Engineering Information Center of the

Aicraft Maintenance Base drew up this Test Report to confirm that

Grabovoi G.P. performed tests in January 1992 mentioned below, using

his extra sensory perception abilities. These tests were performed

in conformity with Agreement No.9 of 02.12.1991 concluded between

Soviet-American Joint Venture "Askon" and the Directorate of Civil

Aviation of Uzbekistan on the theme "Nontraditional Methods of

Inspecting Aviation Equipment."

In January 1992 using his extra sensory perception abilities

Grabovoi G.P. inspected the aircraft using their call signs.

The aim was to define the possibility of detecting aircraft

faults using this method. This is of great importance, especially

for foreign aircraft, because the peculiarities of some of them may

be unknown at Tashkent airport.

Grabovoi G.P. inspected the aircraft using their call signs

and made his prediction for a ten days period from 17 January 1992

to 27 January 1992. The results of this inspection are given below

in Table 1.

M

TEST REPORT No 09/92

of extra sensory perception abilities used by

Grabovoi Grigori Petrovich for detecting aircraft

design faults of the aircraft IL-86 in January 1992

The aim was to prove the effectiveness of this method for

detecting aircraft design faults which could be hazardous during

flights in future.

20 Jan. 1992 Grabovoi G.P. predicted the possibility of

emergency situation with the aircraft IL-86 due to poor reliability

of waste equipment in the lavatories in the front part of the

aircraft. In case of outleakage the front waste tank cannot hold all

waste liquid. It can get to avionics control equipment of the

engines and cause false warning indication and closing down the

engine that can lead to in- flight emergency.

22 Jan. 1992 the prediction of Grabovoi G.P. was confirmed.

Extract from the flight logbook of the aircraft IL-86 No.86056:

"22.Jan.1992 Outleakage in the lavatory in the front part of the

aircraft. (Water is shut off.)

23 Jan. 1992 the materials of the accident with the aircraft

IL-86 No.86057 of the Civil Aviation of Uzbekistan were recosidered.

The accident occured 31 Mar.1990 at Vnukovo Airport. The occurence

circumstances were given in the Report approved by the Chief of the

Civil Aviation Timofeev A.A.: While taxiing out and closing down

port-side and starboard engines, and moving along taxiway warning

display shows: "Dangerous vibration" of the second engine.

The second engine was immediately closed down by the crew.

Vibration of the bearer was insignificant and vibration of the tail

bumper was great.

According to the flight engineer report there was outleakage

in the lavatory in the front part of the aircraft during the flight

and to stop it water was shut off.

The conclusion was made: The accident with the aircraft IL-86

No.86057 occured because the engine of the power unit 2 was closed

down because of false operation of avionics unit 30-1 of vibration

installation. Failure of avionics unit 30-1 occured because some

liquid from the tank of the front lavatory got into it.

The prediction of Grabovoi G.P. was confirmed.

caisson's external surface tooks place was indicated.

The information by G.P.Grabovoy was confirmed right at the

place by the specialists of the aviation and technical base who

confirmed:

On item a) It is necessary to apply additional sealer layers to

eliminate cracks on the caisson according to the technology of

works.

On item b) The hidden deformed area is in the place of contact

of internal surface of the sealer with the external surface of the

caisson due to the preliminary work on seal failure. The deformation

couldn't be seen at the visual inspection.

The efficiency of application of the extrasensory diagnostic is

particularly clear by the fact, that G.P.Grabovoy determined the

deformation place, which couldn't be seen visually i.e. by

traditional methods.
